Rain
I’m sitting here trying to read and listening to the sound of drenching, roaring, driving rain.
This area was flooded extensively in 2006, but today’s rainfall will top that. The Susquehanna has reached flood level in many communities already, and 2-4 more inches of rain are expected tonight.
My husband came home early from work. Public school kids started their fall term only to be dismissed early today. On the news tonight, I saw boats patrolling streets in the neighborhood where I usually grocery shop. There are numerous closings and cancellations, and numerous people who are going to suffer great loss.
Our own home is not at risk, so my family is safe and sound. But that’s not the case for many people in this area. If you’re the praying type, please shoot up some prayer for the Northeast.

Sending up prayers for all affected. I was just looking at photos in an area one county over from me where the flooding was pretty widespread.

Wow. I will certainly include those affected in my morning prayers.

Thank you.
In 2006, my husband’s business had a foot of water running through it. Now he’s located on high ground, but this whole region is going to take a big hit. The state is already strapped and doesn’t have the funds to pour into recovery this time — and this is a bigger flood.

What is it with all the disaster lately? It’s really getting overwhelming. Praying for your area.

Oh wow.
I love the sound of rain.
But NOT when it’s doing THAT!
